JioCinema to broadcast Kalinga Super Cup 2024
The Kalinga Super Cup will feature 16 teams, from both ISL and I-League.
JioCinema has secured the broadcasting rights for the highly anticipated Kalinga Super Cup 2024, set to unfold at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar from January 9 to 28. This annual football extravaganza, organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), is expected to provide fans with a memorable spectacle featuring 16 elite teams from both the Indian Super League (ISL) and the I-League.
The group stage, spanning from January 9 to January 22, will set the stage for intense competition. Following the group stage, the semi-finals are scheduled for January 24 and 25, leading up to the grand finale on January 28.
One of the most exciting incentives for participating teams is the opportunity for the winner to secure a place in the AFC Champions League 2 Preliminary Stage of the 2024-25 season, adding an extra layer of significance to the tournament.
The fixtures reveal a captivating line-up of matches, with teams from both ISL and I-League competing for the coveted silverware. The tournament kicks off with a thrilling clash between East Bengal FC and Hyderabad FC, setting the tone for the high-stakes battles to come. Another highlight is the rematch of the last edition’s final, with Odisha FC, the current titleholders, facing off against Bengaluru FC.
Having replaced the Federation Cup in 2018, the Kalinga Super Cup has become a cornerstone event in the Indian football calendar.
