'Great meeting with our captain Kiran Limbu' - Nepal boss Vincenzo Alberto Annese on Instagram

In a recent Instagram post, Vincenzo Alberto Annese, the Italian football manager, and current head coach of the Nepal national team, along with captain Kiran Kumar Limbu, shared his optimism and enthusiasm for the Nepal National Football Team in 2024. “Great meeting with our captain @kc16kiran_chemjong (Kiran Kumar Limbu) may this year bring for us new happiness, new goals, new achievements, and a lot of new inspirations in our life! 🏆🔝⚽️🇳🇵,” Vincenzo Alberto Annese wrote on Instagram.
Annese, who took over the coaching reins from Prabesh Katuwal, expressed his hopes for new happiness, goals, achievements, and inspirations in the journey of Nepalese football. His appointment as the head coach marked a significant moment for the country’s sport. This achievement made Gokulam Kerala the first club to secure back-to-back triumphs in the I-League (not counting the NFL).

Kiran Kumar Limbu, the captain of the Nepal national team, reciprocated the positive sentiments expressed by Annese. “Thanks, gaffer; it was nice to meet you. Was a great conversation about 🇳🇵 Nepali Football ⚽️ may God bless you once again happy new year 🎊.”
Limbu, also known as Kiran Chemjong, is a revered figure in Nepalese football, particularly for his role as a captain and a goalkeeper. Currently playing for Indian Super League club Punjab FC, Limbu conveyed his gratitude to Annese, referring to their meeting as a great conversation about Nepali football.
Limbu’s acknowledgment of the positive exchange with the coach suggests a collaborative and inspiring environment within the team. As the captain of the Nepal national team, Limbu plays a crucial role in fostering team spirit and unity, which will be essential for the success of Annese’s coaching tenure as well as the Nepal National Football team.
