Kiran Limbu currently plays for ISL side Punjab FC and Vincenzo Alberto Annese was previously the head coach at NorthEast United and Gokulam Kerala.
In a recent Instagram post, Vincenzo Alberto Annese, the Italian football manager, and current head coach of the Nepal national team, along with captain Kiran Kumar Limbu, shared his optimism and enthusiasm for the Nepal National Football Team in 2024. “Great meeting with our captain @kc16kiran_chemjong (Kiran Kumar Limbu) may this year bring for us new happiness, new goals, new achievements, and a lot of new inspirations in our life! 🏆🔝⚽️🇳🇵,” Vincenzo Alberto Annese wrote on Instagram.
Annese, who took over the coaching reins from Prabesh Katuwal, expressed his hopes for new happiness, goals, achievements, and inspirations in the journey of Nepalese football. His appointment as the head coach marked a significant moment for the country’s sport. Vincenzo Alberto Annese brought with him a wealth of experience and a successful track record in football management.
Prior to his role with the Nepal national team, Annese had a notable stint in Indian football. He previously served as the head coach of NorthEast United in the Indian Super League (ISL). His coaching prowess was further highlighted during his time with Gokulam Kerala, where he guided the team to consecutive I-League victories. This achievement made Gokulam Kerala the first club to secure back-to-back triumphs in the I-League (not counting the NFL).
