Neeraj Chopra extends warm wishes to Indian football team ahead of their AFC Asian Cup campaign

The AIFF shared a video on their official Twitter (X) account featuring Neeraj Chopra, the gold medalist at the Tokyo Olympics and winner of the World Athletics Championship. In the video, Neeraj Chopra extended his best wishes to the Indian football team as they commence their campaign in Doha for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
The video where Neeraj not just wished luck to the Indian team but also urged the Indian fans to support their team in the upcoming matches was shared with a text, “You will love to hear it. Best wishes from none other than our Golden Boy @Neeraj_chopra1 for the #BlueTigers.”
“Hello everyone. I would like to extend my best wishes to the Indian Football team for their upcoming AFC Asian Cup matches. I hope the team’s preparations are progressing smoothly, and I kindly ask all the fans to lend their support. The team has been diligently practicing, and I am confident that they will deliver commendable performances in the tournament,” Neeraj stated in the video.
India in 2023 AFC Asian Cup
Led by Coach Igor Stimac, the Indian team have been training hard for the tournament and are eager to showcase outstanding performances in the coming days.
The Indian team have been assigned to Group B of the AFC Asian Cup, where they will compete with heavyweights like Australia, Uzbekistan and Syria. Their inaugural match is set to take place on the 13th of January against Australia, followed by subsequent matches against Uzbekistan and Syria on the 18th and 23rd of January, respectively.
