The 2023 CAF Africa Cup of Nations has advanced to the knockout stages following an exciting group round that saw several upsets, notably the elimination of 2019 champions Algeria, football powerhouse Ghana, and Tunisia.
Notable teams like Egypt and host nation Côte d’Ivoire have recently made it to the second round, while Mauritania, competing in their first-ever AFCON event, is among the last 16 teams to have escaped the initial round.
The last 16 teams will play each other from January 27 to 30, 2024, to see who will advance to the quarterfinals and to find out who their opponents will be in the following round.
