Brentford beat Tottenham in race for £25m-rated winger Antonio Nusa
Chelsea and Tottenham were also interested in signing Antonio Nusa
According to reports, Brentford and Club Brugge have reached an agreement for Antonio Nusa, who was recently connected to a possible transfer to Tottenham. North Londoners are believed to have looked up to Nusa for some time after he made waves with his remarkable performances in Belgium.
It was recently rumoured that Tottenham had begun negotiations with Brugge over an agreement for the winger, whom Chelsea was rumoured to be interested in last summer. However, after making a significant advancement before the deadline next week, it appears as though Brentford might have edged Spurs into his deal.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, the Bees and Brugge have agreed to a transfer fee of over £25.6 million for Nusa’s signing. The move is reportedly approved by Nusa as well, and the legalities of the agreement will likely be worked out in the upcoming days.

Nusa is anticipated to stay at Brugge through the end of the season, at which point he will reunite with the other players from Brentford. He previously stated that the 18-year-old places his football growth above all else and is not unduly worried about cash as the decisive factor in any future move.
Tottenham, who were expecting to get Nusa for themselves, will be severely harmed by the announcement of Brentford’s agreement.
Despite rumours that they started talks last week, Brentford appears to be in the driver’s seat and they will not be getting his signature.
Two new players have already joined Spurs this month: Timo Werner came on loan from RB Leipzig and Radu Dragusin joined permanently.
When questioned lately about Tottenham’s operations, Ange Postecoglou would not completely rule out the prospect of adding more players, albeit it is quite doubtful that Nusa would be one of them.
