Jordan in talks with Chelsea & Tottenham to become next shirt sponsor: Reports

Nike are already sponsoring Chelsea & Spurs
Rumour has it that English powerhouses Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea may get their uniforms sponsored by Michael Jordan’s Jordan company.
However, because Nike owns the Jordan brand, how would this harm them? It’s easy to understand why. In 2016 and 2018, respectively, Nike and Chelsea signed a 15-year contract, making Nike the only sponsor of their jerseys. Furthermore, Phil Knight’s Co. keeps all of the profit for itself without having to split it among its companies.
That won’t be the case, though, if Jordan’s Jumpman replaces Nike’s swoosh in the Chelsea and Spurs uniforms. Nike and Michael Jackson’s brand are going to split a sizable portion of the profits.
In addition, the Blues and Tottenham’s revenue from the Nike partnership is not the highest. While Spurs get about $40 million a year and The Blues receive $70 million, Liverpool is the team that receives the largest payment from the American company, with The Reds receiving approximately $80 million annually.

Therefore, it wouldn’t be shocking if Chelsea and Tottenham pursued a more attractive offer and adopted Jumpman shirts, following PSG’s lead. That would seriously harm Nike’s reputation and brand.
Late Friday night, an anticipated leak about a possible new significant Chelsea relationship was made public by an insider website.
Footy Headlines hinted at a possible new Chelsea collaboration just as the Blues were enjoying defeating Middlesbrough 6-1 at Stamford Bridge to get to the League Cup final.
They’ve displayed the Nike Air Jordan emblem next to the Chelsea emblem on a black background, as you can see below!
Since Nike already supplies Chelsea’s uniforms, could this suggest a potential Jordan collaboration for upcoming uniforms?
