Mohamed Salah returns to Liverpool after getting injured

Mohamed Salah was injured in Egypt’s second group match against Ghana in the AFCON 2023. It was announced that the Liverpool forward will miss the next match and might return later on when he recovers.

Recently, Jurgen Klopp announced that Liverpool have called back the player and Salah will go through his rehab at the club.

Diyaa El-Sayed, who coached Mohamed Salah over three different spells at Egypt was unhappy with the decision of the English club and said, “We are always promised chaos,”

“What was told after Salah’s injury is that the player would miss just two matches, and there was no accurate diagnosis. We only knew that he strained the hamstring, the problem that Klopp revealed by saying that the player would come here and undergo the treatment phase.”

He added, “I am against the idea of Salah going back to England, while the details of the injury are not disclosed. We do not know its extent, but I trust the doctor of the Egyptian national team, and there is communication between him and the doctor there in Liverpool.”

“No one knows what communications took place inside the camp, but I insist that Salah stays with the national team, and the national team doctor always takes all the devices with him during travel. The matter of Salah leaving or staying is not his decision alone. This is a joint decision between the EFA and Liverpool. I believe that he should be treated by the national team because this gives a boost to the players.”
