Liverpool injury update ahead of Bournemouth match; Alexander-Arnold remains absent

Liverpool have been hit with fresh injuries after Salah suffered a big blow during AFCON
After a brief Christmas break, Liverpool are back in the Premier League this coming weekend. Jürgen Klopp probably won’t be able to call upon as many players as he did for the Reds’ Carabao Cup match against Fulham.
The league schedule for Bournemouth, Chelsea, and Arsenal is next, followed by matches against Fulham (the second leg of the Carabao Cup) and Norwich City (the FA Cup fourth round). For a team that is still participating in every competition it entered at the beginning of the season, the schedule is still quite full and busy.
And even though there are still a lot of games happening quickly (at least an FA Cup rematch with Arsenal was escaped), Liverpool still lacks far more players than most people realise. Key players have left Newcastle, Manchester United, and the Reds as well; they have just been able to handle it better because of their deeper roster.

In advance of Bournemouth, Liverpool have compiled the most recent injury updates below. Tomorrow in Kirkby, Klopp will provide the most recent update before playing at the previous news briefing.
For the match against Bournemouth, Thiago Alcantara, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Stefan Bajcetic, Joel Matip, Andy Robertson, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Kostas Tsimikas, according to Klopp, are “not ready.”
‘They are all going in the right direction, getting closer and closer and closer. Some of them might be in kind of part of team training next week. But I don’t expect anybody back, maybe for Fulham, we will see how the boys do.’
