Watch: Pep Guardiola reacts to Omar Berrada joining Manchester United

Omar Berrada was behind the signing of Haaland and De Bruyne at Man City
Pep Guardiola made a joke that if Omar Berrada turns out to be the magic man, Manchester United ought to dedicate a stand in his honour.
After receiving a job offer for the leadership position at Old Trafford, Berrada resigned as chief football operational officer at rival Manchester City this past weekend.
Although Berrada played a significant role off the pitch in City’s recent victories, the appointment is a huge win for United. However, Guardiola has cautioned that his fellow Spaniard is not sure.
“Obviously his knowledge goes to United, that’s the reality,” the City manager stated.
“Berrada to United is not something wrong. If he wasn’t happy, why not?. I think the same for transfers. If someone isn’t happy here and wants to go to Man United and we agree on price, why not?”.
“If we want United player and they agree on price, why not?

“Maybe United think with this person everything is going to change – congratulations. I don’t know if this is going to happen.
“He is a lovely person, an incredible character, incredible professional. Yesterday I saw him, we hugged and I wished him all the best. Deeply, I wish him the best because he’s a fantastic person.
Pep Guardiola says he doesn’t feel bad about Berrada leaving and that he knows City will make the right choice in selecting his replacement.
Furthermore, Guardiola hinted that striker Erling Haaland would make a comeback when the champions play Burnley in the Premier League on Wednesday. The Norwegian is returning to practice after missing nearly two months due to a foot issue.
