PSG’s latest contract offer to Kylian Mbappe exceeds €100m per season: Reports

Kylian Mbappe is likely to stay in the French capital

Real Madrid are still nowhere near meeting PSG’s ‘Pyramids of Egypt’ deal offer for Kylian Mbappe. The 2018 World Cup winner, who has less than six months remaining on his Paris Saint-Germain contract, has emphasised that he has not yet decided his future.

Real Madrid have long been a fan of Mbappe, but if the player gives them the go-ahead, the team is reportedly only going to make a formal offer this month. Their compensation package, meanwhile, is by no means as lavish as what PSG is offering Mbappe.

Journalist Daniel Riolo of RMC Sport claims that Mbappe is expected to sign a record-breaking fresh agreement at the Parc des Princes that no other football team on the globe can equal.

When Riolo spoke with RMC, he stated:

“In this story with Mbappe, you have to have clear ideas. On the one hand, we have an offer for him to extend, which is ancient Rome, ancient Greece, and the pyramids of Egypt given to a player. Something never seen before which will far exceed 100 million per season. So something that no club will ever be able to match. What is being offered to Mbappe by PSG is incredible.

“It will be with advantages for the brother, for the family, for everyone… the player agency that the mother wants to set up. Honestly, it’s incredible stuff. On the other side, we have something which is, I was going to say normal, to say that it’s normal when we talk about Real… So it’s a normal salary for football stars, we’re going to talk about 30 million and maybe a little more. And he’s not the king of the club. Basically, we bring him back down to Earth. Mbappe is in the middle and he has to choose between that.”

Recently, the forward acknowledged that he and PSG had a transfer “agreement” that will “protect all the parties”. Mbappe did not discuss the specifics of the deal, but it is assumed that he was alluding to the loyalty incentive, which he supposedly pledged to forfeit if he left PSG.

According to reports, Real Madrid will turn their attention to other targets to avoid having to wait around for Mbappe. Erling Haaland is one such target. Mbappe is still committed to his responsibilities with PSG shortly, and he will play again this Saturday in the French Cup against US Orleans.
