Roberto Firmino intends to remain at Al-Ahli amid exit rumours
Roberto Firmino left Liverpool in the summer
Following previous claims, Roberto Firmino does not intend to leave Al Ahli during the January transfer window.
His camp has sent a very clear message: he wants to remain at Al Ahli. Expect no changes. When the Brazilian forward’s deal expired in June 2023, he decided to depart for Liverpool, and the team from the rising league signed him for free.
Roberto Firmino was soon joined by Riyad Mahrez and Allan Saint-Maximin in moving from English clubs to Al-Ahli. The trio appeared to be one of the league’s most formidable front threes, combining remarkable flair and technical prowess.
This hasn’t been the case up to this point, as the squad is currently 13 points behind Al-Hilal’s league pace. Despite finishing in a respectable third place, Firmino and the company’s troubles are not fully revealed by this ranking.
TalkSPORT claimed that Firmino was searching for a new club because he was dissatisfied with the Al-Ahli system. After that, the former Premier League player got frustrated.
It’s known that his team might be open to moving on from the Brazilian in January through a loan agreement. There’s little doubt that this will get the attention of teams not only in Brazil but also in Europe.

After moving to Saudi Arabia, everything seemed so hopeful for the former Liverpool player. The Premier League and Champions League winner scored a hat-trick on his debut for Al-Ahli. Firmino, though, has had difficulty scoring in the 17 games that have come after that incredible opening night.
In the Saudi Pro League and King’s Cup, he has helped the other players out three times, but these numbers are hardly indicative of a former Premier League star.
Despite having injury problems, Firmino scored 13 goals in his final season at Anfield, demonstrating that, given the right coaching, he still has some samba magic in his boots. Any club that can recruit the former attacker from Hoffenheim will have a lot to gain.
