Things continue to get worse for Hyderabad FC as the season progresses towards the business end. The Nizams have had a really tough time both on and off the pitch and are the only side till now to be eliminated out of the playoffs race this season.

Punjab FC took a trip to Hyderabad and will return with all three points, thanks to one more dominant and well synced performance away from home. The young guns of Hyderabad FC put up a very good show, but couldn’t make much of an impact.

Hyderabad FC were the better side in the first half while Punjab FC were no less. The Nizams started well and did very well to keep Punjab FC’s firepower in control until the 45th minute when Luka Majcen found the back of the net with a perfect header and gave his side the lead.

Punjab FC built upon their confidence and came out all guns blazing in the second half and made their intentions very clear from the get go. And then Luka Majcen returned the favor and set up Madih Talal for an eye-catching goal from outside the box. Talal put his side 0-2 up and set the tone for the remainder of the game.

Hyderabad FC also came close to scoring but ran out of luck every time and couldn’t make the most out of their limited opportunities. Punjab FC on the other hand were eyeing a third goal but couldn’t produce one as they settled for a 0-2 win against the Nizams.
