Barcelona President Joan Laporta planning lucrative offer to sign Rafael Leao in summer 2024

Barcelona’s president feels they can make a big offer for Rafael Leao
Even though Rafael Leao of AC Milan are expected to cost a fortune, Barcelona are reportedly willing to spend big on the Portugal international attacker. Leao, 24, has played in 28 games this season across all competitions, tallying six goals and nine assists.
In Serie A, Milan are currently in third place with 52 points, eight points behind champions Inter Milan despite having played one extra game.
This consists of three goals and nine assists in 21 games. Even though Leao has a contract with the Rossoneri through 2028, he is in no shortage of prominent admirers from all over the continent. Barca is one of those teams, whose financial troubles are fairly established.
However, according to Barca Blaugranes (via Sport), president Joan Laporta is considering Leao as a potential star acquisition. AC Milan are anticipated to demand €150 million, but the Blaugrana will try to entice him to Camp Nou with a “competitive” offer.
With 14 games remaining in La Liga, Barcelona is now trailing Los Blancos (61) by 10 points. The team has already lost the Supercopa final against Real Madrid, been eliminated from the Copa del Rey, and is experiencing an inconsistent season.
