Bayer Leverkusen level Bayern Munich's 32-match longest unbeaten run in German football

Bayer Leverkusen are sitting at the top of the Bundesliga 2023-24 table
Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen are on a roll this season. The Bundesliga 2023-24 leaders are on a 32-match unbeaten streak in all competitions.
They have now equalled Pep Guardiola’s Bayern Munich record of 32 matches unbeaten in all competitions made in 2020. This is the longest run in German football history.
Bayer Leverkusen have played in 22 Bundesliga matches this season. Alonso’s side has won 18 games and drawn the remaining four. The team has netted 57 goals and conceded only 15, with the best defensive record in the league.
The German giants also reached the knockout stage in the UEFA Europa League. Leverkusen were tied in Group H along with Qarabag, Molde and BK Hacken. Alonso’s team won all six group games, scoring 19 and only conceding three in the process.
Leverkusen have reached the DLF-Pokal semi-final round. They are the favourites to win the German domestic cup.
