Premier League 2023-24 Gameweek 24 is set to be underway

Two teams in dire need of a good result meet in the Premier League on Monday night when Crystal Palace host Chelsea. Although the Eagles sit 14th, they are just five points clear of the relegation zone and have struggled for form. They may have won two of the last four, but the two defeats have been horrific, beaten 5-0 by Arsenal and then 4-1 by Brighton. They will hope to give fans some happiness in this match for sure.

After winning thrice in a row, the Blues crashed to a 4-1 loss at the hands of Liverpool at Anfield, followed by another 4-2 drubbing by Wolves at home.  All hopes of a return to form were quickly squashed as the west London side’s vulnerabilities were brutally exposed again.

These consecutive defeats pushed the side out of the top 10 rankings on the table, as Chelsea now sit in 11th position with just 31 points from 23 games.  The Blues went to Villa Park for their fourth-round replay and came away with a 3-1 victory. They will be hoping to win this match and push hard to get higher up in the table.

Form

Crystal Palace Form (All Competitions): L-W-L-L-D

Chelsea Form (All Competitions): W-L-L-D-W

Players to Watch

Jeffrey Schlupp (Crystal Palace)

Schlupp relies on his movement, energy and a strong eye for goal to pop up in big moments and make the difference. Schlupp’s versatility also makes it hard for people to nail down his best position. He is a very important player for Palace and will be a key player in this match.

Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea)

One of the main features of Jackson’s style that makes him less of an old-fashioned number 9 and more of a modern one, is his ability to come and receive deep and his impressive link-up play that enables him to create chances. Jackson also holds an incredible instinct for his attacking positioning and sense of anticipation.
