FA Cup 2023-24 Fifth round: Updated Schedule, date, time, telecast & more

Chelsea will face Leeds United in the FA Cup fifth round
Chelsea’s FA Cup rematch match against Aston Villa ended in a much-needed 3-1 victory, securing a fifth-round fixture with Leeds United, while Manchester United learned they would play Nottingham Forest. The Blues and their head coach, Mauricio Pochettino, had been in desperate require of a turnaround following a dismal week in which they dropped back-to-back games. Villa were the favourites to advance on their home pitch after holding the Blues to an uncontested draw at Stamford Bridge.
Conor Gallagher and Nicolas Jackson put Chelsea up in the first half, and Enzo Fernandes added a spectacular third goal to send them to the fifth round, where Leeds will be waiting. In a repeat played 24 hours before that, the Whites defeated Plymouth Argyle 4-1.
Manchester United, Liverpool, and Manchester City are still in the running for the cup. After winning the FA Cup the previous season on their way to the treble, City are the reigning champions. They are scheduled for a midweek match against fellow premier league team Luton Town.
The competition’s bottom-ranked team, Maidstone United, who upset Ipswich Town in the previous round, will play Coventry City on February 26. Southampton, who advanced to the fifth phase after defeating Watford at St. Mary’s on Tuesday, will play Liverpool.
Before United were able to organise their fifth phase away day, they had to wait to find out who would win between Nottingham Forest and Bristol City. After a fun penalty shootout, Forest ultimately emerged victorious.
In the fifth round, Newcastle United will play Blackburn Rovers, a second-tier team, while Championship leaders Leicester City will visit Bournemouth. One of the few matches between two Premier League teams is Wolves against Brighton.
