Liverpool have suffered 20% of VAR mistakes in Premier League this season

VAR has made 20 mistakes this season
According to a panel, VAR has committed three significant mistakes against Liverpool so far this season. With Liverpool’s injustice against Tottenham being its most obvious error.
After Luis Diaz’s goal in North London was disallowed for offside in September, the VAR was able to show that he was onside. However, those at Stockley Park neglected to inform the referee of this, and the goal was not awarded, raising serious concerns about the video technology.
The Premier League established an independent panel to assess significant match situations two years ago, and they think VAR has made 57 correct decisions so far this season. According to Sky Sports, there have been 20 mistakes, with 17 of those occurring because VAR did not intervene when it ought to have.
They believe that during its involvement, the system made three “wrong” decisions. The most notorious of them was Diaz’s goal that was disallowed, which led Liverpool to propose that the match be rescheduled.

The other two mistakes resulted from VAR getting involved when the panel thought it should have stayed out of the way and allowed the referee to make his call. One such instance had Sander Berge’s goal against Nottingham Forest being disallowed for Burnley. After a VAR examination, the arbitrator concluded that the goal had been mistakenly chalked off for handball.
The other incident happened during Manchester United’s defeat by Arsenal. After Kai Havertz received a foul by Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Anthony Taylor was awarded a penalty; however, the referee later decided not to follow VAR’s advice and went to the screen instead. The panel believed that the system ought not to have intervened.
Although Liverpool have been accused of favouring VAR, the statistics indicate that the Reds have experienced the most negative impact by the system this year, with four errors made against them. ESPN claims that Brighton and Wolves have also been given harsh cards.
Aston Villa, on the other hand, have benefited the most from three VAR errors that went their way. Each of the following teams has two logged mistakes that have gone their way: Nottingham Forest, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Newcastle United.
