Kylian Mbappe is set to join Real Madrid by the end of the season
Despite making an enticing salary offer, Manchester United reportedly tried to challenge Real Madrid in the race to recruit Kylian Mbappe but were unsuccessful.
When Mbappe’s deal ends after June, he will leave Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer. The 25-year-old has notified the club that he isn’t going to be renewing his current deal at the Parc des Princes.
While the Frenchman is anticipated to finally sign with Real Madrid this summer, PSG manager Luis Enrique has revealed that his team “have to get used to playing without Mbappe.”
Alphonso Davies, a defensive player for Bayern Munich, has also officially accepted to transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu as Carlo Ancelotti’s team gets ready to bolster an already incredibly skilled roster.
Unsurprisingly, Manchester United were also eager to sign Mbappe, so Real Madrid isn’t the only team interested in signing him. Spanish publication OkDiario claims that the Red Devils made Mbappe a proposal this summer that included a €200 million signing-on fee along with a €500 million wage spread over a five-year contract.

According to reports, Sir Jim Ratcliffe considered a possible transfer for Mbappe as a huge opportunity for the Old Trafford team; nevertheless, the France international is expected to sign with Real Madrid.Mbappe will still receive a sizeable sign-on bonus when he formally completes his move to Real Madrid, despite the enormous sum that was promised for him to join Manchester United.
Transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano made the following revelation while speaking on his YouTube channel: “I had the possibility to check the situation for the signing fee of Kylian Mbappe.”
“According to sources close to the negotiation, the signing fee of Kylian Mbappe is going to be more than €100m. Some reports speak about €150m, from what I’m hearing it could be a bit less than this, but in excess of €100m.
“The signing fee will not be paid in one solution. Real Madrid will have the possibility to put the signing fee on the five years of the contract, so paying it in different parts as an extra compared to his salary which will be in the range of the other stars – Jude Bellingham, Vini Jr – but for sure, the signing fee will be huge.”
