Colwill has signed six-year deal with Chelsea

Paris Saint-Germain are a fan of Levi Colwill, a defender for Chelsea. The twenty-year-old, who inked a new six-year deal last summer and is content at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea have made it clear that they will not entertain offers for him.

In the event that Chelsea are compelled to sell more youth players in order to balance the books, PSG and Liverpool are both keeping an eye on Colwill.

Chelsea may sell players in the summer to raise money for a striker, a centre back, and a left back, including Conor Gallagher, Ian Maatsen, Armando Broja, and Trevoh Chalobah.

Moving academy youngsters count as “pure profit” in the Blues’ financial books, and they are under pressure to adhere to Premier League profit and sustainability regulations.

Under Mauricio Pochettino, Colwill has been an imperative member of Chelsea’s squad this season, starting nearly every match.

Before Colwill extended his Chelsea tenure last summer, he was being considered by Liverpool and Manchester City. Instead, Josko Gvardiol was signed by City.

Last summer, Chelsea also turned down multiple bids from Brighton for Colwill.

Sporting director Luis Campos of PSG are spearheading the club’s pursuit of Colwill, making them the most recent suitors to entertain the idea.

Leny Yoro, an 18-year-old right-sided centre-back who has thrived at Lille and has also attracted attention from Real Madrid, will be Campos’ first target.

In 2025, PSG would then consider versatile players like Colwill.

In order to balance the books, suitors think Chelsea’s persistent underwhelming will compel them to keep offloading young players.
