PSG willing to pay Frenkie de Jong's £85m price tag in summer

Frenkie de Jong is on the transfer list of top European clubs
According to a source, PSG are intrigued in pursuing Frenkie de Jong, a target for Manchester United, this summer.
After Barcelona announced their asking price for the midfielder, it appears that the Dutchman will be leaving the team permanently. Several teams are vying for his signature.
When Manchester United put out £70 million for De Jong in 2022, the Dutchman nearly signed with the team, but he decided to stay in Spain and battle for his place at the top.
However, it appears that his time there will be ending in the summer, as PSG are reportedly in the running to sign him before the next campaign begins.
SPORT reports that the French champions are prepared to spend up to £68.5 million to capture de Jong, who, given Barcelona’s openness to make deals, will probably be able to choose where he plays next season.

When he turned down United, De Jong had high hopes of ending his rough patch at the team, but things have only gotten worse, and he is now supposedly open to leaving.
The 26-year-old is rumoured to be ready to cancel his five-year contract with the team due to growing dissatisfaction with matters both on and off the court.
Barcelona is reportedly seeking £85 million for its player, so if PSG hopes to capture De Jong in the upcoming transfer window, they will need to up their offer. This information comes from Mundo Deportivo.
But Manchester United is still curious about the player and might be willing to spend big money on another someone manager Erik ten Hag is familiar with from his days at Ajax.
