Rasmus Hojlund is on a great run in all competitions

Cristiano Ronaldo’s record was surpassed by Rasmus Hojlund as Manchester United defeated Wolves 4-3. Before adding a goal to his own tally at Molineux, Hojlund set up Marcus Rashford’s early goal.

Rasmus Hojlund scored and assisted on another goal in United’s previous Premier League match, a 2-2 tie at home against Tottenham. Hojlund, 20, is now the most youthful player for United to score and provide an assist in back-to-back Premier League games, according to TNT Sports.

Ronaldo, at 21 years old, set the record when he accomplished it in 2007.

In back-to-back Premier League matches against Watford and Tottenham in early 2007, Ronaldo notched goals and provided assists.

Hojlund has made 27 appearances since joining United last summer, scoring nine goals and dishing out two assists.

After beating Wolves, United is now in seventh position in the Premier League. Hojlund and Rashford gave Erik ten Hag’s team a two-goal lead in an extremely exciting match.

Pablo Sarabia’s penalty gave Wolves a response goal, but Scott McTominay gave United their two-goal lead back.

Max Kilman and Pedro Neto’s goals put Wolves up in a thrilling game finale, but Kobbie Mainoo’s strike in the seventh minute of the final period gave United the victory.

On Sunday, United will play their first game back, hosting West Ham.
