Jude Bellingham missed the first leg for Real Madrid due to an injury

Real Madrid registered an impressive away win beating RB Leipzig, thanks to a second-half strike from Brahim Diaz. This win extends their unbeaten run to seven matches in UEFA Champions League 2023-24.

Both teams had fielded their strong eleven for this crucial match. RB Leipzig made one change to their lineup recalling Simakan back to the starting 11. Real Madrid are suffering from injury crises. Ancelotti recalled Nacho in place of Vazquez and  Brahim Diaz to fill the void left by the injured Bellingham.

RB Leipzig started the match on the front foot scoring the goal in the 2nd minute only to be ruled out for offside after a check from VAR confirmed the decision. Both the teams are heading into halftime in a goalless score so far with RB Leipzig being the dangerous side between the two.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side started the second half on fire taking the lead in the 48th minute through a moment of individual brilliance from Brahim Diaz. He got past two players before curling a beautiful finish in the far corner from outside the box.

Leipzig will be relieved to see Vinicius’ shot strike the post with the rebound being cleared before Brahim Diaz gets a shot. Things get heated up between the two sides after Brahim Diaz left the play due to injury with RB Leipzig taking the benefit by making a quick pass to Sesko.

Real Madrid held on to the lead to win the tie by 0-1 after a second-half strike from Brahim Diaz. RB Leipzig never looked to score in the second half with the team creating limited chances.
