Under Simone Inzaghi, Inter Milan are at the top of the league this season

The next summer window will see a change in management for Barcelona after the former midfielder-turned-manager confirmed he will leave the club after the end of the summer window.

Since his comments on his future, many top managers have been linked to Barcelona jobs. the likes of Thomas Tuchel, Hansi Flick, Jurgen Klopp and, surprisingly enough, Xabi Alonso as well.

The latest on the list is now Simone Inzaghi, under whom Inter Milan have developed into an impressive club and are currently at the top of the table. Last season, they reached the Champions League final but lost to Manchester City 1-0.

The Italian has heaped praise on his management at Inter, and now his work has gained attention around Europe, and Barcelona are interested in appointing him.

He will have demonstrated his worth as a top prize-winning manager if he can add another Scudetto to the team’s trophy collection, and it might be sufficient to persuade potential employers that he is the right candidate.

He is happy to continue with Inter until the end of his deal in 2025, but he would not be content with a renewal unless it is extended at least through 2027.

According to Tuttosport, he makes about £4.7 million a season with add-ons, but his employers are unlikely to match a prospective Premier League offer of between £6.8 million and £7.70 million.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is ‘not fully sold’ on Erik ten Hag and is researching potential options. After a dismal season in which United finished sixth in the Premier League and missed out on the Champions League, he might be on borrowed time. The long-term future of Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is also in doubt following his team’s 1-0 Carabao Cup final loss to Liverpool on Sunday.

Even while Chelsea still has the opportunity to qualify for Europe through the Premier League or FA Cup, their chances of competing in European play have significantly decreased in the wake of Liverpool’s setback.
