FC Goa are now back in the ISL Shield contention with this win.

FC Goa registered their ninth win in ISL 2023-24 by defeating East Bengal FC at the Fatorda Stadium on Wednesday. 

Noah Sadaoui scored the solitary goal of the match in the 42nd minute and helped his team to remain at the fourth place in the points table. 

A brief look at the points table 

Odisha FC remain at the top spot in the ISL 2023-24 table with 35 points from 18 games, while Mumbai City FC have taken the second place with 35 points from 17 matches. 

Mohun Bagan are third in the table with 33 points from 16 matches followed by FC Goa in fourth place with 32 points from 17 matches. Kerala Blasters FC remain at fifth position with 29 points from 17 matches.

Bengaluru FC have moved to the sixth place after their recent win. They have accumulated 21 points from 18 matches.

Jamshedpur FC are at seventh with 20 points from 18 matches. NorthEast United FC remain at eighth spot with 20 points from 17 matches. East Bengal also remain at the ninth spot with 18 points from 18 matches.

Chennaiyin FC are at the 10th spot with 18 points and are followed by Punjab FC at 11th.

Hyderabad FC remain as the bottom-placed side with just five points from 18 matches.

5. Sahal Abdul Samad (Mohun Bagan) – 4 assists
