Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United are keen on appointing the Italian manager
Teams hoping to sign Roberto De Zerbi have learned how much money they will need to pay in compensation to get the Italian from Brighton for the summer.
Since joining the team this past season, Roberto De Zerbi has gained a lot of supporters for the work he accomplished at the Amex Stadium. The 44-year-old is being considered as a potential replacement for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, and Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag of Manchester United and Chelsea are also interested.
According to a story from The Telegraph, De Zerbi’s departure from Brighton would require a deal worth at least £12 million. The South Coast club has a deal with the Italian player that runs through the end of the 2025–2026 season. Notwithstanding the enormous sum, Brighton would not have gotten the highest salary for a manager.
Chelsea sent the Seagulls £21.5 million in exchange for Graham Potter, De Zerbi’s predecessor. Potter’s staff expenditures were included in that amount, but it’s unclear if De Zerbi’s contribution would cover his backroom personnel. The Italian is now trailing their erstwhile star, Xabi Alonso, who is currently playing for Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen and is the front-runner to follow Klopp when he leaves Anfield this summer.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the new co-owner of Manchester United, has not yet publicly endorsed Ten Hag, even if his future is still up in the air.
The bookies also have De Zerbi as Chelsea’s replacement for Pochettino. The Blues are now in the bottom half of the standings, and in spite of the club’s hefty investment, the Argentine has not been able to turn things around.
One of his greatest compliments has come from Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, who declared him to be “one of the most influential managers in the last 20 years” during the previous season.Though the team is currently ninth in the rankings and has only won three of its past 12 Premier League games, he has found it difficult to replicate the heights of last season.
