The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) is reportedly having trouble getting in touch with Mohamed Salah, the star player for Liverpool.

For the forthcoming March international break, the EFA anticipates that the Pharaoh’s captain will be included in the national team’s roster.Along with Tunisia, Croatia, and New Zealand, the team led by new head coach Hossam Hassan will compete in the UAE in the Winsunited Cup during the international break.

Ehab El-Komy, a member of the EFA board, claims that even though there are no problems between Mohammed Salah and the newly appointed coach, they are unable to get in touch with him.

“The Egyptian national team, led by Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan, can’t communicate with Mohamed Salah so far.

“So far, there hasn’t been any meeting between Hossam Hassan and Mohamed Salah, but there is no dispute between the two parties,” he said.

The EFA board member continued, “The Minister of Sports will hold a session between the two parties to create a conducive atmosphere within the team.

“The relationship between the Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi and Mohamed Salah is excellent. There is an agreement between the EFA and him to work on resolving any issues related to the national team.”

EFA anticipates Mohammed Salah will report to the training facility to play for Egypt in the Winsunited Cup, considering the current difficulties.

Seven overseas-based players were selected by Hassan for the camp, with Mohamed Salah of Liverpool leading the group despite his injury struggles since the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.Liverpool have attempted to persuade the Egyptian FA to keep their star player out of the March international break, as Salah has only made two appearances for the Reds since the beginning of the season.
