Academy Accreditation assessment results announced by AIFF

109 applications received, 83 accepted across four rating scales for the Indian football season of 2018-19.

The All India Football Federation has declared the Academy Accreditation assessment results for the season 2018-19. A total of 109 Academies had applied for Academy Accreditation for the season, out of the total applications received, 83 academies have successfully cleared the criteria and received a star rating.

Of the 83 academies successfully clearing the accreditation system, four academies/clubs have received a 4-star rating, thirteen have received a 3-star rating, forty academies have secured a 2-star rating and twenty-six academies have got a 1-star rating. The success rate of receiving accreditation for 2018/19 has been 76%. Accreditation for academies forms an eligibility criterion for participation in the AIFF Youth Leagues of the respective season.

The Academy Accreditation process was carried out for over four months that involved the establishment of the assessment criteria, an organization of workshops where the criteria were introduced and explained to all potential applicants, submission of mandatory documents for assessment followed by physical inspections carried out by designated AIFF personnel and the declaration of results.

All academies were assessed on the criteria of Technical support, Training curriculum, Facilities and Infrastructure, Age-group teams, Medical provisions and existing Management structure.
