Adidas Trionda match ball for FIFA World Cup 2026 final revealed

The quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup 2026 will commence on July 9.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is slowly entering its final stretch, with only a handful of teams remaining after four weeks. The elimination of Germany, Uruguay, and Brazil came as a huge shock to football fans across the world.

On the other hand, the performances by Cape Verde, Japan, Norway, and a few other countries have caught fans’ attention. The tournament has been dominated by brilliant goalkeeping performances from the likes of Eloy Room, Vozinha, Ørjan Nyland, and more.However, it’s also the first time in the tournament’s history that three different players have scored seven goals: Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, and Erling Haaland. Thus, the special matches need a special ball too, and it has been unveiled.

Adidas Trionda match ball for FIFA World Cup 2026 finals revealed

The Adidas Trionda match ball for the FIFA World Cup 2026 final has been unveiled. A special edition of the ball will be used for the summit clash of the summer competition, scheduled for July 19 at the New York-New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford. Apart from the final, the ball will also be used in the semifinals and the third-place match.

The special-edition ball follows the same performance-focused construction; however, what makes it unique is its all-new design, created specifically for the tournament’s decisive matches. The Trionda match ball for the final features a gold premium finish inspired by the iconic FIFA World Cup trophy.

Meanwhile, the ball’s base colour remains white, with a black design. Bright pink and red accents can also be seen on the ball, which adds energy to the overall design by complementing the boots worn by the players during their games.

The ball also pays tribute to the match cities where the games are being played. The cities are Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, and New York/New Jersey. Not experimenting with the ball’s engineering, Adidas has kept the same four-panel construction, panel shape, and surface texture as the original TRIONDA.

Additionally, the match ball features the latest version of Adidas’ Connected Ball Technology, enabling real-time ball data to assist match officials in making quicker decisions while providing additional insights into gameplay.

With almost two weeks remaining in the final, the ball has been revealed. In the pictures, it is endorsed by Argentina captain Lionel Messi, English midfielder Jude Bellingham, and Spain’s star winger Lamine Yamal.
