The former Manchester United striker remains without a club.

Anthony Martial is reportedly eyeing a sensational return to the Premier League, with the French forward being offered to a host of English top-flight clubs, including Everton.

The 30-year-old attacker is currently available on a free transfer following the mutual termination of his contract with Mexican side CF Monterrey. The former Manchester United player has reportedly attracted attention from clubs around Europe as well as Saudi Arabia, but has set his sights on English clubs.

A report by TEAMtalk revealed that intermediaries representing Martial contacted several English clubs before the summer transfer window closed on September 1. The clubs were informed that Martial is available and actively considering returning to the Premier League.

The report said that the clubs who have been approached by the intermediaries include Everton, Leeds United, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Newcastle United, Sunderland, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Anthony Martial was considered one of the best young strikers in the world when he joined Manchester United from AS Monaco in 2015. He made 317 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 90 goals. However, persistent injuries meant that he dropped down the pecking order and spent time on loan at Sevilla.

After departing United in 2024, he played for a season in Greece with AEK Athens, scoring nine goals in 24 appearances. He then joined Monterrey, but only scored one goal in 20 appearances.

Despite his dip in form, Martial is reportedly seeking a return to the Premier League in an attempt to revitalise his career. However, TEAMtalk’s report said that Everton denied being contacted regarding the former French international.

The Toffees are in desperate need of a striker after their failed attempts on the transfer deadline day to sign both Folarin Balogun and Joshua Zirkzee. With Beto departing for Fiorentina, David Moyes has just one striker at his disposal: Thierno Barry.

Signing Martial, even on a short-term contract, would give the Merseyside club an option in attack for their Premier League campaign.

What is Anthony Martial’s Premier League record?

During his time at Manchester United, he made 317 appearances across all competitions and scored 90 goals.

Which club did Anthony Martial last play for?
