FIFA World Cup – 3 (1978, 1986, 2022)

Argentina secured their first-ever world title on home soil in the 1978 edition. They were led by manager César Luis Menotti. They won 3-1 in the final against the Netherlands.
Their second title arrived eight years later at Mexico 1986. A tournament entirely dominated by masterclass performances of Diego Maradona.
Despite making the final in 2014, Argentina’s next title came after 36 years (since their previous) at the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. Captain Lionel Messi scored seven goals throughout the tournament, leading the team through a historic penalty shootout victory against France after a 3-3 draw in the final.

They then won the competition in 1955, 1957, 1959, 1991 and 1993, adding to their massive trophy collection. Argentina won their next title in 2021, managing a historic 1-0 victory against Brazil to end a 28-year drought. All before securing successive titles in 2024, once again winning 1-0 against Colombia.
CONMEBOL-UEFA Cup of Champions – 2 (1993, 2022)
Argentina won the second edition of the competition in 1993 in Mar del Plata. Led by Diego Maradona, the team managed a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Denmark. It paved the way for penalties.
Argentina won the shootout, marking it as Diego Maradona’s final international trophy. Their next title came 29 years later in 2022. La Albiceleste claimed the title at Wembley Stadium, defeating UEFA Euro champions Italy 3-0.
FIFA Confederations Cup – 1 Title (1992)
Argentina secured the title in the inaugural edition of the tournament in Saudi Arabia. The team, managed by Alfio Basile, put on an excellent attacking display led by Gabriel Batistuta and Fernando Redondo. They comfortably defeated the host nation, Saudi Arabia, 3-1 in Riyadh to lift the trophy.
