Barca will be hoping to make it further into the competition this time.

Barcelona’s 2026-27 UEFA Champions League league phase quest will kick off tonight at home against Dutch heavyweights Feyenoord.

The Catalans are attempting to win the European Cup for the first time since 2015. Meanwhile, Feyenoord previously won the competition way back, capturing the trophy in 1970.

Barcelona have been unstoppable in the early parts of the 2026-27 season, winning four straight LaLiga games against Elche, Athletic Bilbao, Rayo Vallecano, and Valencia. All while scoring 17 goals, and putting them at the top of the table.

Hansi Flick’s team will always be looking for additional domestic glory, but it’s fair to state that the Champions League is the title the club most wants to win this season.

Barcelona last won the European Cup in 2015, their fifth title. They were eliminated in the quarterfinals of the 2025-26 edition by Atletico Madrid.

Feyenoord will be mindful of the magnitude of their challenge in this week’s meeting. The Dutch side have had a solid start to the season, going unbeaten in five games and winning three.

Feyenoord last competed in the UEFA Champions League competition in 2024-25, reaching the round of 16. They were eliminated 4-1 on aggregate by Inter Milan.
