Bayern Munich will go head-to-head against Borussia Dortmund for their Matchweek 8 fixture of the Bundesliga 2026-27 campaign. This high-voltage clash will take place at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern Munich are on a top run of form and are unbeaten in the German top division for now. They secured a 3-1 win against SC Freiburg in their last league outing and then went on to defeat FC Magdeburg in what was a dominant 6-1 win for them in the DFB Pokal match. Vincent Kompany’s men will only be looking to extend their winning run.
For their upcoming fixture, Bayern Munich are going to be at home. This will be a massive advantage for them. They are currently sitting at the top of the table and with a win against Dortmund, they can have a three-point lead in the title race.
The Niko Kovac-led side have been performing well domestically and will be keen to continue their positive run of form. However, the upcoming Bundesliga fixture is going to be the toughest contest for them this season. The Black and Yellow have the same number of points as the Bavarians and are in second place on the league table.
They are also enjoying an unbeaten run in the domestic competition for now. A win against Bayern will get them the top spot on the points table. For their upcoming fixture, Borussia Dortmund will be the visiting side, and this might create a little bit of an issue for them.

He has scored two goals in the Bundesliga this season and will be looking to add more to his tally.
