Bologna are scheduled to face Lazio in a Matchday 1 fixture of the Italian Serie A 2026-27 season at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on Monday, August 24, 2026. Having suffered a heartbreaking loss to Mantova in the Coppa Italia first round, the Biancocelesti will look to make a winning start to their league campaign.
Playing their first campaign under new head coach Gennaro Gattuso, Lazio had a horrible start to their domestic campaign. A 2-0 loss to second-division Mantova ended their cup run, and Gattuso is under increasing pressure to deliver in his team’s Serie A opener.
Bologna, meanwhile, will look to end their eight-match winless streak under new head coach Domenico Tedesco. The Rossoblu have made wholesale changes to their squad, with Mikel Amondarain, Tommaso Pobega, and Artem Dovbyk among their summer arrivals.
