The German club are set for pre-season friendlies in Australia.
Borussia Dortmund are definitely going to tour Australia. At the end of July 2027, they will stop in Brisbane for pre-season matches. Dortmund, a major team in Germany’s Bundesliga, announced its plans while club officials were in Brisbane.
However, most details are yet to be confirmed. They have only announced that they are set to visit Australia. It’s most likely to be a pre-season tour.
This confirms that Australia are the last big market they are missing from their global map. This historic trip marks the first time a Bundesliga team will visit Australia.

Borussia Dortmund have close ties to the area. They just recently signed a five-year deal with Wynnum Wolves FC to build the foundations for a future BVB International Academy.
Even though the exact tour games and ticket information aren’t set in stone yet, the Queensland government did sign a statement of understanding with the Bundesliga. All because of ongoing talks about possible practice games at Suncorp Stadium.
Moreover, the club have also not confirmed the schedule. It appears they will announce by the end of the current season when they start preparing for pre-season.
It’s most likely Dortmund will confirm their visit to Australia by the end of the season. They are currently competing in the Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League.
