The most successful side in FIFA World Cup history, Brazil are going through a generational transition after failing to qualify for the Finals of the FIFA World Cup since becoming the world champions twenty-four years ago back in 2002.
The South American giants, led by five-time Champions League-winning gaffer Carlo Ancelotti, have been tasked with the responsibility of restoring Brazil’s pride and legacy in international and South American football.
After that 2-1 defeat to Norway in the Round of 16 game in the FIFA World Cup 2026, the Brazil national team are set to lock horns for the first time in the upcoming September-October FIFA International window, where the South American giants take on former AFC Asian Cup champion Australia and India later.
Former Real Madrid gaffer Carlo Ancelotti is set to announce his squad travelling to Australia and India for the three big friendlies tonight (9 September) around 11:30 PM IST.
However, ahead of the final squad announcement, several Brazilian media outlets have revealed the names of players selected in Brazil’s preliminary list.
The list has not been officially released, but when a prior notification is sent to clubs in accordance with accoridancto the preliminary list to release players for national team duties, many names go out in the media.

Flamengo’s star forward Pedro has been in the headlines after making 33 goal contributions in just 44 games. Given his current form, he is expected to get a call-up for the national team.

The Manchester City defender, Vitor Reis, who spent a season in the Spanish top flight with Girona, is expected to get a senior team call after having represented the Brazil U-17 team previously.
Moreover, Allan, who completed a transfer from Palmeiras for €37.5m to Manchester City and is yet to make his debut at the Etihad, is also on the verge of his senior debut.
