Bukayo Saka has scored three goals in the quadrennial tournament.
Bukayo Saka has been a brilliant presence down the flanks for England since making his international debut six years ago. The Arsenal skipper is known for his exceptional close control, utilising his low centre of gravity to blast past defenders. This has made him a nightmare for the opposition full-backs and has turned him into one of the strengths of the Three Lions.
Saka has been key to his country’s reaching the Euro finals in 2020 and 2024. He has also faced some setbacks, most importantly, the penalty miss for England in the 2020 final. Despite the highs and lows, he has been one of the first names on the team sheet when fit.
His excellence for the national team has also been evident in the biggest football tournament of all – the World Cup. Saka has played in two editions of the quadrennial tournament, namely the expanded 48-team edition in 2026 and Qatar 2022.
In total, he has made seven appearances in the FIFA World Cup, scoring three goals and registering three assists.
