The Blues will take on Fulham in their opening Premier League game!
Chelsea have already made managerial changes after their disappointing 2025-26 campaign. Xabi Alonso is the new head coach for the Blues. They will now look to strengthen their squad in the summer 2026 transfer window.
Chelsea finished 10th during their previous English Premier League campaign. They will hence not compete in any European competition in the upcoming season. They are still going to have a lot of work in the domestic campaign.
The Blues have a chance to win a domestic treble next season. To do that, their squad structure must be sorted.
Departures of Marc Cucurella and Andrey Santos are going to play an important role for the club. Although it is beneficial from a financial point of view, they will now have to hire equally talented players. This is going to be a big task for them.
Chelsea have not quite found value on the transfer market in recent years. It will now be interesting to see their moves this time around.
They have already secured their first signing for the upcoming season; they have signed Italian right-back Marco Palestra for an initial fee of £43 million, rising to £47 million (about €55-57 million) with add-ons.
