Donald Trump will remain present alongside Gianni Infantino for the FIFA World Cup trophy ceremony.

Spain are set to face Argentina in the final of the FIFA World Cup 2026 at MetLife Stadium on July 19. La Roja defeated France 2-0 to secure a berth in the summit clash, and their win was dominant, as they did not allow Les Bleus to score a single goal.

Meanwhile, Argentina had to score twice in the last 15 minutes against England to reach the final. Despite taking the lead against the defending champions, the Three Lions lost the game due to their overly defensive approach, and, on the same note, United States President Donald Trump has made his say.

Donald Trump claims that England made a mistake by using Harry Kane as a defender

Trump later decided to talk about the semi-final clash between England and the defending champions, Argentina, and specifically Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane. He claimed that Harry Kane is a great player and that he knows him personally; however, Thomas Tuchel made a mistake by deciding to use him as a defender.

When Donald Trump was talking about football while pointing out the former Chelsea manager’s mistakes, FIFA President Gianni Infantino was seen laughing and laughing. He said:

“You have a great player in England who I played golf with, you know that, right? Harry Kane who’s been fantastic. They perhaps made a mistake when they made him a defensive player…They took the lead and they took their best player and then put him on defense. That was a bit unusual.”

Against Argentina in the FIFA World Cup semifinal, the former Tottenham Hotspur attacker and three defenders contributed one shot on target. The only goal of the game from the English side was scored by Anthony Gordon, who was also subbed out in the second half as Thomas Tuchel made a defensive substitution by calling in Ezri Konsa.

The Three Lions had only 12 per cent possession in the second half as they were trying to defend their one-goal lead. However, goals from Enzo Fernández and Lautaro Martínez (90+2′) made sure La Albiceleste avoided another extra time in a dramatic fashion.

When and where is the final of the FIFA World Cup 2026 set to be played?

At the New York-New Jersey Stadium on Sunday, July 19.
