Which teams have qualified for Durand Cup 2026 quarter-finals?

The Durand Cup 2026 is at a great moment as 24 teams are battling out for the title, which is very prestigious, as the Durand is one of the oldest tournaments in Asia and every team puts their best effort to make their campaign successful and look to clinch the trio trophy of the Durand Cup.

A total of 24 teams are gearing up for the three titles, as the Durand Cup, President Cup and Shimla Trophy will be on the line for all the clubs. Along with Kolkata as the main venue for the 135th edition of the Durand Cup, Ranchi’s Birsa Munda Stadium is the debutant venue in this competition.

And talking about the current scenario, every team has almost played their two to three games in the group stage, and from the six groups, already five teams have secured their qualification.

Mohun Bagan SG from Group A, SC Delhi from Group C and FC Raengdai from Group D have secured their position in the quarter-finals, as both teams need to focus on their last game of the group stage and win the victory to maintain their position at the top of the points table, as finishing at the top of the points table will surely make the path easier in the quarter-finals.

And not only then the defending Durand Cup 2026 champions NorthEast United FC and Indian Army FT have secured their spot in the Quarter-Finals of the 135th edition of the prestigious tournament.

Let’s take a detailed look at which of the teams have booked their quarter finals ticket.

Mohun Bagan – Group A

Mohun Bagan SG is the most title-holding side in Durand Cup history, having won a historic 17 titles in their name, and just behind them, the Red & Gold Brigade are following them with 16 titles. But talking about the Mohun Bagan side in this current situation, they have qualified for the quarter-finals of the competition, as it is one of the most entertaining and dominant group stage games from their side, which led the Mariners to book the spot.

They won their two consecutive games in the Durand Cup competition, as all things started very well for the Green & Maroon under Panos Dilmperis, their new head coach and also with new signings like Dezan Drazic in these two games.

Mariners defeated East Bengal in the Durand’s Kolkata Derby to start their journey and then beat South United with a thrashing 8-0 victory, where Manvir Singh scored a great hat trick, followed by Suhail Ahmed’s brace in the game’s last couple of minutes.

Mohun Bagan qualified for the group stage with six points, and they will set to face CISF Protectors next on 10th August, 2026, at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan as they look to gain the last win to finish the group stage at the top of the table.

FC Raengdai – Group D

The Northeast side, FC Raengdai, also received their flowers as they booked their spot in the quarters after becoming the second side to be featured in the knockouts of durand Cup, becoming one of the biggest surprise entries of the competition.

They have been very clinical and dominant with their performances in the tournament as they beat Indian Navy FT first with a scoreline of 1-0 and then the great character displayed by their team when they faced and thrashed TRAU FC in the Khuman Lampak Main Stadium 4-3.

Midul Doley is one of the biggest breakout stars from their side after he scored a brilliant hat trick against TRAU FC, which offered FC Raengdai the chance to create history and with that win, they booked their spot.

With two wins under their name, they qualified for the Durand Cup Quarter Final as they are also set to play their next game against Neroca FC and will look to conquer them to secure another three points, as it might secure their top spot.

SC Delhi – Group C

The Capital side of the Indian Super League(ISL), SC Delhi, has qualified and secured their spot in the knockout stage of the Durand Cup 2026 after winning all their group stage games with commanding and dominant scorelines. With 9 points in their hand, SC Delhi topped their group and qualified for the quarter-finals of Asia’s oldest tournament, and now they will look to prove their value again in the knockout stages.

They have been very dominant with their performances as they have clinched victory against all the other teams, including a late comeback victory over another ISL side, Jamshedpur FC, in their first game, and then they edged past Defenders FC and Indian Air Force scored 7 goals in each of the two games.

Indian Army FT – Group B

The services side of India, Indian Army FT have already qualified for their Durand Cup 2026 quarter-finals as they have won all their games, and in their last match, they edged past the Kolkata outfit Mohammedan SC. And if we look into this matter, then the Black Panthers got eliminated from the Group stage and Samaleswari from Odisha has the best chance to prove their worth as they have a chance to secure their berth in the knockouts.

They are sitting first on the points table with 9 points in their hand as they clinched every game with a winning momentum, and now the Army side looks to play their best brand of football in the knockouts.

NorthEast United FC – Group F

The Durand Cup defending champions, NorthEast United FC started their journey where they left off last season, when they powered past Diamond Harbour FC in the final game with dominant gameplay by their team and in the new campaign, they have already qualified for the quarter final games.

In their three group stage games they clinched all three victories and with 9 points under their name made a great statement and fixed their qualification.

East Bengal FC – Group A

The ISL 2025-26 season champions, East Bengal FC, have qualified for the Durand Cup 2026 quarter-finals as the best second-placed team with two wins under their name and with six points, they have secured their berth and are set to play their quarter final game against SC Delhi, who finished top of the table.

After being beaten by Mohun Bagan SG in their first game, which was the Kolkata Derby by a scoreline of 0-1 the Red & Gold Brigade won their two consecutive games in the group stage, scoring 13 goals in those two matches.

Jamshedpur FC – Group C

As the second team from Group C after got their chance as they have qualified for the Durand Cup Quarters with six points in hand after they thrashed Indian Air Force FT 6-0 which automatically sealed their spot. Despite losing their second game against SC Delhi they somehow managed to win the first and third games when they faced Defenders & Indian Air Force.
