It will be Trevor Morgan's last match before he heads back to Australia... .
East Bengal face George Telegraph tomorrow jn the Calcutta Football League (CFL) in what will be Trevor Morgan's last match this season as he leaves for Perth tomorrow night for a medical check-up. The Red and Gold brigade who are leading the points table with 18 points from six games are high on confidence but the quality of their football has been poor since the beginning of the CFL, especially the backline including the likes of Arnab, Gurwinder and Calum Angus. East Bengal will miss the services of four senior players from the squad including Bikash Jairu, Narayan Das, Arnab Mondal and Md. Rafique. They will make way for Avinash Ruidas, Robert, Gurwinder and Nikhil Poojary. On the other hand, George Telegraph who are lying at the bottom of the table need a result in all of their remaining games to avoid relegation and for that they will depend on the duo of Babatunde and Kamo in attack. East Bengal coach Trevor Morgan said in the pre-match press conference, "I will be leaving for Perth tomorrow night. I have made Richard and Abhijit understand everything for the upcoming few matches especially the Kolkata derby.” When asked about Richard coping with the pressure of a match like the derby, Morgan commented, “Even Shankarlal is the assistant of Sanjoy Sen. if he can manage a team like Mohun Bagan than why can’t Richard do it. I have made him understand and being my assistant for all these days, it won’t be an issue.” “Not only in India, if you see world football, when managers are not available, assistant managers take charge of the team. Its nothing new." Probable XI: Luis Barreto(GK), Rahul Bheke, Gurwinder, Calum Angus, Robert, Mehtab, Nikhil Poojary, Dika, Avinash Ruidas, Jiten Murmu, Dong.Match Preview by Khel Now Correspondent Rony.
