Top five players withdrawn from England squad for September–October UEFA Nations League games ft. Rice & Palmer
These players will miss out while recovering from their respective injuries.
Five important players will not be playing for England during the September–October international break. Despite losing a lot of players, manager Thomas Tuchel has refused to make many roster adjustments. Only two replacements have been announced thus far.
James Garner, a midfielder for Everton who played under Tuchel earlier this year, and Morgan Gibbs-White, a playmaker for Nottingham Forest, who many felt was unfairly left out of the first group, have joined the team.
On September 26, England’s post-World Cup campaign will begin when Spain, the current world champions, visit Wembley Stadium for a UEFA Nations League group stage match.
