Erling Haaland hasn’t played since Man City 1-0 defeat to Villians

In an attempt to recover from a bone stress injury to his foot, star striker Erling Haaland has returned to Manchester City’s training. Pep claims that although Erling Haaland is “close,” the striker is still not ready. “During the last two days, he has participated in some training sessions.”

After playing in the Premier League on December 6 against Aston Villa, the goal machine has not appeared in a match for the English champs.

However, the Norwegian returned to training on Monday in Abu Dhabi, where the team has established a training camp for the pleasant temperatures, and he has since scheduled a return.

“Oh how I’ve missed this!” was the message the Cityzens star wrote beside a photo from Monday’s workout on Instagram.

After suffering a bone stress injury in his feet, the 23-year-old has missed the last nine matches for his team in all competitions, including five Premier League games. He had briefly returned to practice previously this month in advance of the team’s FA Cup match against Huddersfield, but Pep Guardiola has stated that he will not throw his best player again into the mix too soon.

Guardiola’s team is presently getting ready for Friday’s vital FA Cup fourth-round matchup against Tottenham Hotspur, managed by Ange Postecoglou.

The striker still leads the league in goals scored with 14, despite not playing for Man City since a 1-0 loss at Aston Villa on December 6.

Following the end of the day on Wednesday, the City coach will conduct a press conference prior to the match in advance of the home game against Burnley.
