It could be beneficial to bolster your ranks with players of Chelsea and Manchester City as the two teams have very winnable fixtures this weekend.

Chelsea finally succumbed to their first defeat of the season to Tottenham in Wembley. The north London side ran amok winning the fixture comfortably with a 3-1 scoreline. Manchester City and Liverpool were their dominant selves as they comfortably beat West Ham and Watford respectively. Arsenal managed to overpower Bournemouth in a tightly contested affair, but Manchester United stumbled at home, failing to win against a gritty Crystal Palace side. The Old Trafford fixture turned out to be a dull goalless draw.

Gameweek 13 Review

It was a below par week, as several prominent point getters failed to do anything of note. Sergio Aguero and Callum Wilson failed to score a goal or provide an assist, but Aleksandar Mitrovic managed to turn his bad form around under new manager Claudio Ranieri with a stellar brace, getting 13 points in the process.

Andrew Robertson managed to get 6 and 7 points respectively due to their teams getting clean sheets. Captain Richarlison also had a very disappointing week with just 6 points. The remaining 7 players combined for 9 points. The team finished 9 points below average. Crystal Palace’s Aaron- Wan Bissaka got 6 points, but unfortunately, the left-back was on the bench.

Gameweek 14 Transfers

Mesut Ozil has been underperforming, with the Arsenal midfielder obtaining only 5 points from 4 game weeks. He can be transferred out for Roberto Pereyra or Gylfi Sigurdsson. However, Ryan Fraser has been in excellent form for both club and country and he is chosen to replace Ozil.

With one more transfer available from last week, other possible players who can go out are Steve Cook and Aleksandar Mitrovic. Mitrovic seems to have gotten new life under Ranieri with the Serbian scoring two goals in the Italian’s first game in charge. Steve Cook is replaced by Aymeric Laporte. The Manchester City centre-back is a regular starter for Guardiola’s side and has impressed with his headers in set pieces.

Gameweek 14 Line-up

Crowding the defence with in-form players might see the points shoot way upwards

In a bold move, the formation chosen is the 5-3-2. David De Gea starts in goal, as Manchester United have an easy trip to Southampton, with Matthew Ryan dropping to the bench. All five defenders have been given the start with newcomer Aymeric Laporte given the captaincy. Laporte has a relatively easy fixture at the Etihad against Bournemouth.

Marcos Alonso’s Chelsea faces derby rival Fulham at Stanford Bridge and therefore has been named vice-captain. In midfield both, Gerard Deulofeu and newcomer Ryan Fraser move to the bench, while Richarlison, Eden Hazard and James Maddison start. Callum Wilson’s Bournemouth faces a tricky test at Manchester City. The Cherries striker move to the bench with Sergio Aguero and Aleksandar Mitrovic taking up starting roles.
