He is yet to feature in the ten fastest recorded times in the Premier League this season.

FIFA 19 is due for release on Friday 28 September and it is always exciting to keep a tab on the EA Sports teasing revelations. While discovering the fastest player in the latest instalment of FIFA is always exciting, this time a player from Wolverhampton Wanderers has come up on top and has precisely challenged the fastest ever man on earth.

Adama Traoré, the Spanish winger from the newly promoted Premier League team, boasts a pace rating of 96, which comes as a surprise to many.

Various names we expected to feature made the cut - Kylian Mbappe, Sadio Mane, Gareth Bale and Pierre-Emerick Aubamyang but the king of pace is Traore.

“It is nice to be known on Fifa 19 as the fastest player in the world,” Traore said at the EA SPORTS FIFA Ratings Awards in London this week, per Give Me Sport.

“But Usain Bolt has started playing for Central Coast Mariners so I might have a rival next season. Just remember, Usain didn’t have to dribble a ball while he was winning his gold medals!

“Clearly Bolt would beat me over 100 metres on the track. But on grass, over 30 metres with a ball at my feet? I’m winning that race every time!

The 8-times Olympian gold medalist from Jamaica had a rocky start to his career in professional football in Australia.

He is yet to feature in the ten fastest recorded times in the Premier League this season. Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewis hit a top speed of 21.71mph (34.94kph) against Southampton in mid-August, placing him atop the leaderboard for the time being.

However, Traore has topped that speed three times previously and his best of 21.73mph (34.97kph) was against West Brom during January last year.

The Spaniard has also clocked an incredible speed of 23.61mph (37.99kph) in training, so it can’t be too long before he’s once again leading the pack in both real-life and FIFA 19.
