FIFA take no action against Leandro Paredes after World Cup final incident – Report

Argentina’s Leandro Paredes was spotted grabbing Spanish defender Eric Garcia by the throat and also knocking young Barcelona midfielder Gavi to the ground. His actions saw an immediate red card from the on-field referee.
But later, his red card was cancelled.

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) is yet to come up with an official statement regarding this matter. But recent reports claim that FIFA have confirmed no action against Leandro Paredes after his red card was rescinded.
Argentina were set to be under an investigation after this unpleasant incident. But some reports saw that FIFA confirmed no disciplinary action was ultimately taken.
Reportedly, some other altercations also took place after the final whistle between some players.
Leandro Paredes took to social media after Argentina lost to Spain in the final, but has notably not apologised for his actions on the pitch.
Many football pundits and fans have criticised the Argentine midfielder on this matter.
