Five clubs Mykhailo Mudryk can join on loan from Chelsea

The forward participated in Chelsea’s pre-season tour.

Mykhailo Mudryk has returned to first-team football with Chelsea after the FA lifted his doping violation suspension. Although the four-year suspension was eventually overturned after a protracted appeal, the Ukrainian hasn’t played a competitive match since testing positive for meldonium in 2024.

According to media reports, the Blues consider putting him back in the intensely competitive Premier League to be a significant risk. Chelsea desperately need to restore his match fitness, confidence, and market worth without subjecting him to tremendous domestic pressure. Hence, they are now reportedly considering a season-long loan for the Ukrainian winger.

5. Como

Como have been impressive under head coach Cesc Fabregas and will allow Mykhailo Mudryk to regain his form under the former Chelsea midfielder. The pressure will be much less at the Serie A side, which will provide the attacker with a platform to flourish on a season-long loan. Como’s financial backing will also allow them to afford Mudryk’s salary during the temporary switch.

4. Coventry City

The presence of boss Frank Lampard, who had previously worked with the winger at Chelsea, makes Coventry City a perfect short-term location for Mudryk to revive his career.

The player’s confidence and form may be unlocked by Lampard’s previous time with him. Mudryk is in dire need of guaranteed minutes, which a team like Coventry can provide, following extended stretches of time without competitive play as a result of his career disruption.

3. Crystal Palace

Mudryk may find Crystal Palace to be a perfect place to go on loan. The Eagles will fill an attacking gap while providing consistent Premier League playing time to Mudryk. However, in the end, the player himself will have to decide which will be beneficial for him to grow.

Regular playing time helps players regain form, and Palace will offer dynamic, broad support to his career renaissance. Mudryk might regain confidence by stepping away from the intense scrutiny of a “Big Six” team, while he can easily adjust by remaining in England rather than moving abroad.

2. Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest might not be mentioned as Mudryk’s preferred or desired destination, even though they play in the Premier League, which aligns with the player’s stated preference. According to recent sources, Chelsea are willing to loan Mudryk in order to provide him with consistent playing time after he returned from a ban.

He will remain in the English top division, which will enable him to acclimatise to the physical demands and tempo without having to travel abroad. Chelsea will be able to keep a close eye on his performance and adjustment to playing competitive football.

1. RC Strasbourg

In order to help Mudryk restore match fitness following the resolution of his doping suspension, Chelsea are willing to loan him to their sister club, RC Strasbourg. The player would prefer a loan transfer within the Premier League, despite interest from Strasbourg and a few Italian clubs.
