Five clubs that should look to sign Paulo Dybala this summer

The Argentine is set to leave Juventus on a free transfer.
One of the most talented and creative forwards on the pitch- Paulo Dybala, is all set to leave Juventus this summer for free. According to reports, he had a verbal agreement with the club last October. The new contract would have kept him in Turin till 2026. His salary would have been close to €10m. But, seeing his current form and appearances, the officials of the club have probably changed their minds and offered him a lower value contract.
With his departure confirmed, here are five clubs that should target the Argentine this summer:
5. Chelsea
If Chelsea manage to settle the ownership conundrum by the summer, one must not be surprise to see Dybala move to London. Strong reports of players such as Christian Pulisic and Timo Werner’s exits are doing the rounds. Romelu Lukaku has not shown signs of his old self. It will be an excellent move if Chelsea chase Dybala.
Manager Thomas Tuchel has been excellent for Chelsea and taken the club forward. If the Blues manage to land the Argentine, he can help improve their goalscoring record. The difference between Chelsea and Manchester City/Liverpool are their proven goalscorers. Fans will be hoping Dybala can help change that.
4. Paris St-Germain
All the big players somehow get linked to the Paris club. Dybala is currently earning close to €260,000-a-week in wages. As per reports, the 28-year-old is not looking to compromise on his salary. This makes PSG one of the front-runners to sign the forward.
With multiple reports of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe leaving the club, it makes comfortable space for Dybala to walk in. He should try and fill the void left by these players and PSG will have the bank for his salary by off-loading these stars.
3. Arsenal
Another London club which could sign Dybala this summer is Arsenal. Led by manager Mikel Arteta, the Gunners have been in phenomenal form. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s departure to Barcelona and with Alexander Lacazette's contract set to run out, Dybala could be perfect for Arsenal.
He could form an excellent partnership with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and so on. Dybala is 28, his experience will help Arsenal’s young squad. The chances of a move will improve, if the Gunners manage to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season.
2. Tottenham Hotspur
Another club in England which Dybala could eye are North-London’s Tottenham. It is believed that Spurs' Director of Football Fabio Paratici is an admirer of Dybala and would love the Argentine to move to the club. Dybala has been on the club’s radar since 2019. This would be the best time to land him, with him being out of contract and a manager like Antonio Conte on board.
If there is any chance of Harry Kane leaving this summer, it will make the singing of the forward even more crucial. With the likes of Son Heung-min, Harry Kane and Dejan Kulusevski already in the squad, the addition of Dybala will be dangerous for the opposition.
1. Atletico Madrid
Dybala prefers a move to Spain over England. He was keen on joining Barcelona as well. But, Xavi Hernandez was not keen on landing the forward. Reports have it that Diego Simeone is keen on signing him. Dybala also wouldn’t mind a move to Madrid.
His national teammate Rodrigo De Paul has also been pushing his club to land Dybala, acting as an “agent.” There are chances of players such as Joao Felix, Antoine Griezmann and Luis Suarez leaving the club. There would be no better replacement than Dybala for the Colchoneros.
