Before Barcelona’s LaLiga match against Deportivo Alaves on Saturday, Hansi Flick has reportedly called up Barcelona Atlètic right-back Guillem Victor to first-team training.
The German coach will be without his starting right-back for the upcoming clash, as Jules Kounde is still unable to train with the team due to an ankle ailment. While Flick evaluated possible fixes for the team’s escalating defensive issues, the primary newcomer to Barcelona’s training session on Thursday was Guillem Victor.
The inclusion of the Barça Atlètic right-back, who has been a regular starter for the reserve team this season, suggests that the first-team coaching staff are considering promoting him to the senior squad for the match.

19-year-old Spanish professional football player Guillem Víctor Delgado is a right-back for Barcelona Atlétic. He is the brother of fellow La Masia graduate Pau Victor, who currently plays for Braga in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.
Guillem Victor is considered one of the most promising defensive talents to emerge from the club’s La Masia academy because of his technical ability, tactical adaptability and defensive discipline.
After joining Barcelona from Júnior CF in 2017 at U-12 level, he progressed rapidly through the club’s youth ranks. He was one of the leaders of the Barça U19A (Juvenil A) team in 2025-26.
On November 2, 2025, he made his Barça Atlétic debut against Girona B. He has been a fully integrated part of the reserve team since the beginning of the 2026-27 season. Victor is a youth international for Spain, having made two appearances for La Roja’s U-19 side.
Flick brought Victor up to practice with the senior team ahead of their LaLiga match against Alavés after senior right-back Jules Koundé suffered an ankle injury.
