Yan Diomande, RB Leipzig’s winger, has been the talk of the transfer window after a breakthrough World Cup. He has agreed personal terms with LaLiga giants Real Madrid, while Paris St-Germain have discontinued their interest.
The 19-year-old Ivory Coast international was previously linked with Liverpool, who had an initial proposal of £69 million rejected in June.
Liverpool subsequently moved on to other targets, while PSG have decided not to engage in a bidding battle with Real. PSG’s last bid of £102.5 million for the youngster was reportedly rejected last week.
Los Blancos will spend in excess of £100 million for Diomande, who joined Leipzig from Spanish club Leganes on a five-year contract last summer. Diomande was the Bundesliga’s young player of the season in 2025-26, having scored 12 goals and assisted eight times.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that two clubs have reached an agreement for the forward to join Los Blancos.
Real Madrid will be paying more than €100 million for the Ivorian winger. Diomande will go to Madrid this week for medical tests and to sign a contract until June 2031, reports suggest.
