Hugo Lloris, Jeff Bezos in attendance for USA vs Belgium FIFA World Cup 2026 round of 16 clash

The Red Devils will face Spain in the quarterfinals.

The United States men’s national soccer team were back in action with Hugo Lloris in the stands. For their round of 16 game, they are locking horns with the Belgium national football team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This contest is taking place at the Seattle Stadium.

The first-half of the competition was quite exciting to watch. The Rudi Garcia-led side took an early 1-0 lead after Charles De Ketelaere tapped the ball into the back of the net. With a one-goal advantage, they piled up pressure on the Yanks.

Malik Tillman came up with a sensational free-kick in the 31st minute to level the scoreline for the United States. Just under two minutes later, De Ketelaere completed his brace. He helped the Belgium national football team take the lead once again.

The United States men’s national soccer team were finding it hard to come up with a strong performance on the attacking front. When Mauricio Pochettino’s men might have had a chance for a comeback, they made a blunder in defence. The Belgians scored their third goal with that chance.

Hugo Lloris in the stands

Former France international Hugo Lloris was spotted enjoying his time in the stands during the USA vs Belgium FIFA World Cup 2026 round of 16 clash. He currently plays for the MLS club Los Angeles FC (LAFC).

Lloris has 20 appearances for Les Bleus in the mega competition. Belgium’s Thibaut Courtois equalled his record during the round of 16 fixture. Germany’s Manuel Neuer remains the goalkeeper with the most appearances (23) at the FIFA World Cup.

Hugo Lloris is not the only famous name around. Former president and CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, is watching the contest from the stands. He is donning the USMNT jersey.

American musician Eddie Vedder is enjoying his time at the game, just like Hugo Lloris. The 61-year-old is a part of the music group Pearl Jam.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino is also present at the game. The winner of this contest, the Red Devils, are going to face Spain in the FIFA World Cup 2026 quarterfinals.
